About the area

Sensone is in the wonderful Garfagnana valley, an area packed with small Charasmatic hill towns, high peaks and superb views. It is an area packed with history and treasures, its Etruscan roots cradled civilisation and Michelanglo and Leonardo Di Vinci were local artists.

The local town of Barga is a hotspot of culture with artists, singers and musicians on every street. Mid summer brings dancing under the stars on the mountain, Opera and Jazz festivals compete in popularity.

Take some time to take in the local attractions, some people feel the need to visit Florence, Siena or some of the wonderful towns in this most area, however, you really do not need to travel, beauty and culture is everywhere in this stunning area.
